Wow! Fantastic breakfast! Came in here for breakfast on 08 June. First of all, I thought the coffee was great, dark and strong and instantly helped clear out the jet lag. I couldn’t decide between the shrimp and grits and the corned beef hash, Brooke recommended the shrimp and grits. 10/10, 5 stars, etc. big plump shrimp, spicy chorizo, very bold and flavorful dish. Also, the bacon came out very crispy (which I love). If you’re in VB, add this to your breakfast list!
Had brunch on Sunday - got in just before a crowd so we got a really cute booth spot just in time! It seems like a local favorite so just be aware of a potential wait, it’s worth it. Three main callouts - 1) Shout out to Penelope for the amazing recos and amazing kind and thoughtful service, saw her go from helping people at the bar to jumping to the families at their tables! 2) The breakfast bowl with cubed home fries, spicy chorizo, eggs and cheese was phenomenal and so filling! 3) I’m going to have dreams about the carrot cake slice, there’s a whole cake on display and you WILL want the whole thing
What an awesome local place to have breakfast. We stopped in this morning and we were so happy we did. Such a wonderful atmosphere and the waitress was very nice and helpful. The food was outstanding. I had the country fried steak and I am telling you it was the best from all the places I have been to. The eggs were over easy and very very tasty. We just found our new breakfast place here in Virginia Beach.
I have been coming here for a few months on weekends and some Fridays. I usually sit at the bar no matter how slow or busy I have never had more than a 5 minute wait for a seat at the bar. Very good meals with extremely reasonable pricing. And I highly suggest the cinnamon roll with some strawberry's.
What started as an another disappointment at an unknown diner due to the fact that it was a bit humid inside and after like five minutes of sitting down at the counter no server stopped, it turned out very well and I'm glad the front desk guy at the nearby Hilton recommended this place for breakfast. Whoever is cooking in the kitchen is an artist. Vegetable omelette with the sweet potatoes was fantastic and avocado had no brown spots whatsoever.
In Virginia Beach, there is a place called Mary’s Kitchen, they sell the best coconut pineapple cake. Also, I pick up a dessert that is seasonal and this really was so delicious. It’s a sweet potato muffin. It was so moist and tasty. Highly recommend stopping by Mary’s Kitchen to get coconut pineapple cake and sweet potato muffin in Virginia Beach, VA
Went for breakfast during our stay at Virginia Beach. Everyone was so friendly and the food was very good. One big plus is there is an actual parking lot!! We will definitely be back.
The food was absolutely delicious. We were seated right away.And the service was wonderful. I would recommend this to anyone.
